In this high-impact casting workshop, Scotty Mullen brings 11 years of experience casting over 150 films, TV projects, and vertical dramas plus nearly 50 produced scripts, straight into the room. Actors perform live scene work and receive honest, actionable feedback to elevate their audition technique from “good” to bookable. Scotty also breaks down the Top 5 Barriers to Entry today: headshots, reels, social media presence, auditions, and offers and what casting is truly looking for in each (for example, fewer than 50% of actors even submit self-tapes, which alone changes the game). As a casting director, writer, and working actor, Scotty offers a rare 360° perspective: what makes you memorable, what earns callbacks, what quietly eliminates actors, and how to shift from “hoping to book” to strategically positioning yourself to win. The workshop closes with an open Q&A, giving actors practical insight they can use.
